Born and raised in Miami, Florida by Cuban immigrant parents, Carlos spent most of his young life with an understanding of the importance of work ethic. His upbringing instilled a strong sense of gratitude for the sacrifices his family made to provide opportunities for those who would follow in their footsteps.

Carlos attended college at Florida Southern College and pursued a degree in business. While in college, Carlos met his future wife and grew his own family with two beautiful daughters. Becoming a husband and father was a re-awakening moment for Carlos and soon he discovered the powerful force of connecting with kindness.
